Yes, 500 years from now historians will say that the $1 trillion a year that Americans spend on weapons was the greatest evil of the last 100 years But our use of those weapons was defensive. Germans were offensive. Still the waste is heartbreaking. Remember - Freud did not believe in luck. My great success has been due to the fact that my view is that all failings, disappointments, losses have been entirely my fault. No one else is ever to blame.
