No blog or newsletter has provided predictions of the future better than this one. My ability to KNOW what is going to happen is profoundly accurate. Here is another CERTAIN event.
Professor Walter Lack's book about Pierre Joseph Redoute is vastly superior to any other study of a natural history artist or time period. He is in a class of ONE - the giant of all time for this avenue of scholarship. He is the king of understanding the illustration of the natural world.
Based on the last 60 years demand increases dramatically when major books are published about an artist.
This has dramatically occured wth the publication of Robert Olson's masterpiece "Audubon's Aviary" Prices have increased at least 4 times since her work was issued.
Of course I very much want to maintain my refined elegant approach and not sound like a circus husler.
I find the "have I got a deal for you" and "you better buy it now or you will miss the chance" approach foul. It is a fine balance that holds me back.
Still the book will be hugely influential. Prices for the works of Redoute WILL increase 4 times in the next two years. I am certain of this.
