One of the many reasons that I love my 5 properties in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
With my love of trees the best part of the experience of owning 580 Shoemaker is the 40 spectacular, 50 year old sycamore trees that have naturally grown along both sides of the banks of the stream running through the property. They have now all been maintained and cared for and are now in excellent condition and should thrive for many years to come. So interesting to me that this Darwinian process of Natural Selection manifests itself with the dominance of this species in its ideal wet environment.
And the bonus is that one can also see 100 yards away the largest Sycamore in the United States on my other nearby property at 618 Shoemaker. Again it has thrived being near swampy ground. And, again I have done everything possible to keep it healthy. But this time my guess is that it is 300 years old. George Washington would have passed by it on his way to Valley Forge in December, 1777 after staying at my home at 1000 Boxwood Court for 10 days.
So all three properties have a wonderful connection.
Upper Merion Township is the best one in the United States for many reasons besides this one!!!
