About 20% of them accept because of the allure of unlimited funds,

That is why you will never see the current administration sanctioning these 3 institutions.  

These amazing minds could be curing cancer, building accretive infrastructure, ending global warming, teaching and inspiring the precious young that follow them. 

The goal based part of our minds is 100% of the reason that the world is the way it is today.  Brilliant people with goals achieve them almost 100% of the time.

When the brightest minds on the planet build weapons for the Military their whole being only comes to fruition when those devices  are deployed. 

Trump may think he gave the order for the attach on Iran yesterday.  But he was just facilitating the vision of the smartest people in the history of the world.
