When 168 books were stolen from the National Library of Sweden, I was sold one by a New York Auction House. I was the only dealer that cooperated with the FBI to return the book and took a 300k loss

Thank you Greger
It was my great pleasure working with the FBI to return your Wytfliet atlas to you many years ago
It always made me sad that all the other dealers that bought the other 167 books stolen from you never returned them with the abusive excuse that they couldn't find their records.
Lori Cohen and I would love to have you visit us and stay with us if you ever are in NYC or Philadelphia
Lori will add your name and contact information to our mailing list for catalogs in the future
We have been in the auction business since 2009 and appreciate your so kindly reaching out to us
We dont do that well with oil paintings in our auctions so my recommendation is that you work with Freemans run by my friend, Jay Krehbiel who is copied on this email to you.
Jay has towering integrity, experience and reach far surpassing all the other auction houses. You are in very good hands with him
Truly
Graham

Dear Lori Cohen, could you please forward this message to Graham.
Dear Graham, It has been a long time since we last spoke. You might not remember me, but I am the librarian from Sweden whom you so kindly assisted in the repatriation of the stolen Wytfliet atlas around 14 years ago in 2012. I hope everything is well with your health, your family, and your business. I would value your expertise on a specific matter.
I own a painting by the German-American artist Herman Herzog, painted in Norway in 1857. I intend to sell it, possibly in the USA, and was wondering if you have any suggestions on where I might do so with the best result?
I´ve attached an image of the painting and hope that you can give me an advise on this matter.
Kind regards
Greger Bergvall,
librarian still at the National library of Sweden
