The only way to make a city in the United States work is to be there at least 7 months a year.   You have to get involved with the community and show people that you are not stingy - that you know how to give.  This is the absolute rule in America.  There are no shortcuts to achieving stature and trust if you cant show that you have a big heart.

Learning what people care about and making it your own is key especially in all American cities bounded by Chicago in the North, Pittsburgh in the East, Denver in the West and Houston in the South.
