"My Dream" on an International Scale!

A letter from Mon. Antonin Baudry, French Ambassador in New York:

June 24, 2011

Dear Mr. Arader,

Thank you very much for your kind letter and for a lovely afternoon. I was delighted to meet with you and Helene, and was most impressed by your extraordinary collections, and enjoyed such a delicious lunch!

I am extremely interested in you ridea regarding a potential partnership between the Arader Galleries collections and educational institutions in France, and would be thrilled to speak about this at greater length.

It would be my pleasure to visit your gallery on 72nd Street when I return from upcoming business trips to Paris. And I must thank you for your thoughtful offer inviting us to use your home and gallery. For your warm welcome, kind invitation to lunch, and your innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic spirit, thank you!

Sincerely,

Antonin Baudry
Followed by my response:

Dear Antonin,

Thank you so muhc for your thoughtful letter of June 24th. It will be treasured and hopefully will be the beginning of an opportunity for me to work for you to teach the students of France and the United States about the genius of French Natural History Illustration from the 16th through 19th centuries!

And yes, there is also the genius of French map and atlas production from the 17th through 19th century as well. We look forward to showing that collection to you at any time that might be convenient for you.

Your accomplishments as a scholar and skills as an administrator have everyone here keen to take direction from you! Thank you for the time that you have spent with us!

Truly,

Graham Arader
