British Petroleum loses arbitration case in Russia on oil venture. WHY?
100 people own 99 percent of Russia. It is fair grounds for commitment to an insane asylum that anyone outside this group even suggest doing business there.
There simply is no rule of law.
This has been an absolute, abundantly obvious fact well before Putin came in. But he codified the fact that there absolutely nothing that one can depend on. NOTHING. The BP executive who initiated this venture should be fired for gross stupidity.
It is his Putin's country to do with as he pleases.
He is a superb manager and is doing a fine job for his people. Russia is demonstrably a better place to live. But he is doing it exactly the way he wants with no significant decisions from anyone else. There is no freedom except the freedom he wants to grant.
