Walter Annenberg and my father.
My father was the Penn Trustee that was put in charge of listening to Walter Annenberg for over 25 years because he put him up for membership in the Union League which was up until then a Christians only club. There was a guy who broke the mold everyday. Wow. He used to tell him that he wanted to die penniless. His best line was when he sold TV Guide to Rupert Murdock - Murdock wanted all kinds of guarantees and promises. He told Murdock - the only guarantee that you are going to get from me is that I wont give you any guarantees. He sold it for 5b and Murdock lost 4b.
The point of this is that the conventional wisdom - the lines - are only there if you want them to be there.
