Dear Graham,

Having arranged and attended all of the Linnaean Society's last 41
programs, I've become an acute reader of the level of audience
enthusiasm at them, and I've never sensed it so high as at your tour
last Saturday, and, when we left,  people couldn't stop thanking me.

I, too, thought of your analogy of the tour with the Met's current
textile show, but though that show is visually as rich as the
magnificently beautiful works you showed us, for me the Met's dry and
overly-technical wall labels are no match for the living, breathing
sense of history you conveyed and the way artistic influences pass
from culture to culture and the importance of Linnaeus to it all.
You're an extraordinary person with an extraordinary collection, and
your tour was a privilege and a delight for us all. Many, many thanks.

Best regards,

Jeff
