Graham, in light of your interest in how we are promoting your prints
and educating undergraduates, we are reaching out to faculty here to
supplement their classes with the Fall exhibition  Birds, Bugs, and
Blooms: Natural History Illustration from the 1500s to the 1800s.  Dr.
Denise Phillips will be using our prints in History 334 – Germany to
1815 and History 485 – Science, Religion, and Magic in Early Modern
Europe.  She is excited about the Merian prints you are lending us
since she discusses her in both classes.  The history of collecting,
travel narratives, and natural history figure prominently in History
485.

We are currently advertising for a full time Coordinator of Academic
Programs here at the Museum.  This individual will be tasked with
engaging faculty and students with the Museum collections and
exhibits.  Natural history prints will be an integral part of this.

Thanks, Jeff
