I am writing to thank you for your extraordinary support of Parents & Science and the Science Saturday festival in May, and to reach out regarding next fall’s P&S “Celebrating Science” Benefit, which will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Since the summer can be such a busy time for everyone, I thought it would be helpful to email you the attached letter from Rockefeller President Marc Tessier-Lavigne, which you should receive in the mail shortly.
We would be delighted to have you join the event’s leadership. Our guest speaker for the fall benefit will be Patricia Kuhl, an internationally recognized expert on child development, who will address “Speech and the Social Brain: Insights into How Children Learn.” An elegant dinner under a tent on the campus esplanade will
follow the talk, and renowned Sotheby’s auctioneer Hugh Hildesley will return to emcee another auction of scientific experiences.
