Will the French government repeat history with Jews making the same mistake they did with Huguenots in 1685.

In 1685 Louis XIV revoked the Edit of Nantes that his grandfather established in 1598.  It caused the greatest loss of talent in the history of France as Huguenots fled to make many other countries including the US far better.  This was especially true with Charleston and NYC. 

Is History going to repeat itself with the French government making a half hearted effort to protect some if its most creative, talented and giving citizens. 

Let's compete with Israel and make it very clear that French Jews are especially welcome in the United States.   Let's relax restrictions to this precious slice of humanity.  Let's not let Benjamin Netanyahu be the only one not to recognize this opportunity.
