The loaned items were delivered yesterday afternoon and we were bowled over.

This particular 2 volume set of Robert Thornton’s Temple of Flora is absolutely magnificent.  (We especially enjoyed seeing the hand-painted elements up close!) 

It is truly  an honor to be able to exhibit this set.  I really appreciate the effort that went into finding  a copy of the engraving of “The Large Flowering Sensitive Plant” as well. 

It is one of our favorite engravings and that image will be reproduced on the exhibit announcements.

Thank you for your generous loan.  These items will greatly enhance our exhibit.
