My opinion of Phil Wallis

Phil Wallis was the most underpaid guy in philanthropy on the planet.  He was bright, dedicated, great looking, joyful.  He had it all and in my opinion should have been the head of a national conservation organization.  It is a great mystery to me why he never went much, much further.

My goal now is to excite students in American Classrooms with the illustration of the natural world driven by the Linnaean classification system.  The going has been slow but I now generate 700 graded papers a year from American University professors.   This new American syllabus is alive but it takes a great deal of work.

No one understood this better than Phil Wallis.  It is people like him that I would like to support always.  He is a national treasure.
