Graham, the first signs of spring are emerging on campus.  As you can imagine, the excitement begins to blossom as graduation nears.  Four years of cultivating leaves that grow and teaching those leaves to save light for others gives satisfaction.

But the engravings, lithographs, and watercolors of plants and fish and the resources to study these remains one of the significant highlights of our year.  Our board, students, librarians, faculty, and administration remain enthusiastic about the teaching possibilities you are creating.

Toward this end, we have a reading and research room that annexes our rare book room.  Plans have been made to put the flat files you are sending our way in this section of the library.  We will place the Bloch fish in the files where they can be studied, and the Audubon elephant folios will also be placed here.  In this regard, I'd like to recommend that we name this room the Graham W. Arader III Reading Room of Natural Science and History Art.  Of course, it will take time to cultivate this space into the research forum envisioned but naming the room in honor of your vision and generosity will give us cause to celebrate and dream.

I have attached a few photos of the Armenante and Sohn watercolors by Edwin Dalton Smith.  What a treasure!  We'd love to have them, and you, come to campus soon to see for yourselves the impact you are making.
