What great University is going to end up with the greatest collection of 18th century, American natural history watercolors in the world?

Graham, hello
Very much appreciate your interest in bringing this book to UofSC.
Suggest that this be done when Tom and I and some others are available to look at it.
If it stirs up enough interest, and you have not already sold it, then it could be brought back to be shown to some of the University’s major supporters. This would, of course, be governed by the University’s other major financial needs from these donors.
While it would be a major coup for UofSC to acquire this important artifact and we would make good use of it, as we both know personally, these are financially very difficult times – and not just for us, but for academia generally.
Hope you have received the letter you requested that I mailed over a week ago.
And I cannot end without thanking you again for all your invaluable support for the Mark Catesby Centre.
