Our signature GOLD Program with The Women's College offers its students the skills, tools, and education they need to become visionary leaders in their future careers. At the heart of the GOLD Program are four elements: service, leadership, inclusion, and the advancement of accomplished women in a competitive global society. This program provides a dynamic speaker series that brings compelling leaders who are trailblazers in their fields. Specialized professional development opportunities and mentoring and advising from a personalized Gold Team pepare these women to meet the challenges of the future.
The current "O" year encourages personal responsibility and civic engagement and is especially timely. During this emphasis, students in The Women's College are focusing on directed service learning that last semster included a food drive for the Salvation Army and a pen pal initiative with a local senior living center. These students also are forming their Golden Portfolios that will help them as they’ve enter the job market and gaining communications skills for mediation and individual growth. This follows the first "G" year dedicated to gender awareness. The ensuing "L" and "D" years will focus on leadership and diversity.
The Women's College is at the center of the heritage and strength that has propelled Brenau forward for over 140 years.
