A horrible experience at the Baha Mar "resort" in the Bahamas.

 On December 25th, at the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas my son almost died on a jet ski and was held for ransom to pay for repairs while a 12 inch cut in his leg was bleeding profusely and his liver, lung, heart,ribs and Stomach were badly brused.  When my daughter returned with the $500 ranson that was demanded, my injured son was released by 8 aggressive, threatening men. 

When we called the police we were told that they didnt prosecute Bahamians based on American reports and claims and refused to come.  We were told that my son was lucky to be alive and they hung up. 

When we arrived back in NYC, we had to spend over $8000 getting cat scans, blood tests and medical diagnosis.  He is still at risk and badly injured. 

My wife then had a bowl of Chinese food spilled on her dress, hair, face and glasses

We were told that our meal would be given to us.  Instead we were given a $300 credit against an invoice over $875.  The prices for food were outrageous. 

We were unable to get the comp for the gambling we did.  It should be over $1500 in credit against our bill for what we gambeled.  So far NOTHING.  

None of us were able to sleep in the early morning because of the water jets noise cleaning the grounds

A Chopard watch that was quoted to me for $78,000 had the price changed to $85,785. I have a text message quoting an acceptance of $78,000.  They changed the price on a whim. 

The smell of marijuana in the hallways was disturbing and prevented us from sound sleep

Pictures in the hotel lobby area of monkees dressed as black men was insulting and abusive. 

The food from the Steak house gave me severe, painful gout.

Damien Hall at Damien.Hall@slshotels.com promised to resove these issues by December 28th.  It is Dec 31 and nothing has been said or offered. 

This hotel almost killed my son and I was ripped off for over $25,000.  Stay away if you value the safety of your children and expect reasonable pricing.
