The use of the word "I"

The beauty of my father's friends is that they mentored me. Stanley Marcus, Walter Annenberg, Leonard Lauder, Saul Steinberg and so so so much more. Marcus was over 30 years teaching me. Can you imagine - the man who created Neiman Marcus telling me how to act??? Priceless. Bill Reese inherited $197,000,000 ca 1980 but my father's gift to me was much more valuable. They ALL ALL ALL taught me never to use the word "I." The use of that exposing word is illustrative.
