George Ross and the damage that pervasive anti-semitism did to Philadelphia 55 years later.

My father, Walter Arader, only cared about intelligence and integrity his entire life in Philadelphia. The key to his friendship was his membership in Young President Organization for all of his business life. About 60 years ago he became close friends with George Ross, an employee at in the Philadelphia office of Goldman Sachs. George approached me many times about becoming involved with institutions, libraries and societies that he could support to become a part of the business life of the Delaware Valley. My suggestions were the obvious ones and George approached them. He and his wife, Lynn, were universally rejected for being Jewish and even worse for being Russian Jewish.

Because of this George funded and founded the most beautiful museum in the City of Philadelphia pulling away donors from all other institutions.  Shame on the Philadelphians who caused this to happen.  This ugly behavior has cost Philadelphia greatly.
